The Wings & Wheels show was held on March 28 2010 in Chicopee Ma. This is a show that I have attended the past two years and enjoy going to. Models of all types and scale were present at the show, with more armor than the previous year which was great. Judging was done by the open system, AMPS style, and lots of well deserved awards were handed out.
Being the 20th year/show, there were theme awards in a master challange. For armor the theme was the M4 Sherman, all scales and versions of the Sherman. Although there were plenty of Shermans on the display tables, only four or five were entered in the masters challenge.
I was too busy looking at models and talking to friends from the FSM web site that I forgot I had my camara with me. I did manage to take some pics of the models I really liked. Many of the below pictured models won awards.
The three models above are all 1/72 scale. The one that I liked the most is the Sturmtiger with the awesome camoflage.
The following two pics of the Russian T34 Formochka are from my very good friend Steve Reid, which won a well deserved gold medal.
Another gold medal winner was this very well built and painted Serbian T55. I had the pleasure to talk to the builder of this model, Ian Forgey, for quite a while and exchanged ideas. I hope to meet him again in September.
The winner of the M4 Sherman master challenge was this well done Sherman.
This Ko'd King tiger won the Best of Show award.

A big thanks goes to Al LaFleche and the rest of the guys for putting on yet another great show. I'm looking forward to next years show.
